Hear how this band became the voice of generations with three releases that etched them into our consciousness. 4pm
A VERY BRITISH SEX SCANDAL
Presented by Queer As Films
In 1954, a famous journalist, a baron and an army captain were being charged in court for sodomy. The trial, portrayed in this docudrama, turned the tide against the homosexual witchhunt in England and led to the Wolfenden Commission which in 1957 recommended the decriminalization of sodomy. Ten years later, UK repealed the sodomy law; unfortunately Malaysia is still stuck with it. Come join our post-film discussion with lawyers about steps towards the same goal in Malaysia.
